The Vinyl Groove is an independent record store nestled in the heart of downtown Bedford, Ohio. Since 2014, the Vinyl Groove has amassed a loyal base of customers among discerning music lovers. With its vast collection of used and new records, its affordably priced vintage audio equipment, and its friendly and knowledgeable staff, the Vinyl Groove is definitely the best record store that has ever existed. We are a cool funky little thrift store with records. After acquiring a large amount of records from a defunct store, we are listing some and the other half are in boxes at our store ready to go. Mostly have 7"s now, then we'll do the rest of LPs. Record Mart originally opened in 1958 in the 14th street Union Square Subway Station. In 1961, a second, larger location was opened in the Times Square Subway Station. The 14th Street location was forced to close in 1975 due to subway renovations. The 42nd Street location remained open until 1998 when also due to subway renovation, was forced to close. In 2007, Record Mart reopened again at the 42nd Street location on the IRT level opposite the Shuttle Train. Originally opened as a Record Store, carrying English popular music, proprietors Jesse Moskowitz and Bob Stack noticed that many of their customers were of Latin decent. A large fraction of the clientele were Puerto Ricans working in factories in the Downtown area, so Jesse and Bob decided to start carrying more music that their main clientele desired. Eventually, Record Mart became known as a place that specialized in Latin music. They also carried an extensive collection of Jazz, Classical and Caribbean music. Sometime in the 1970s, Bob Stack left Record Mart and left Jesse to continue running the store with his dedicated staff. A few of those staff members even returned to Record Mart upon it's reopening in 2007. Most notably, Harry Sepulveda, considered one of the most knowledgeable people in the world when it comes to Latin music. Especially Salsa, traditional Puerto Rican and Cuban music. On any album, Harry can often spout out the label, the year it came out, the musicians as well as who did the arrangements. In 1998, Peter Watrous of the New York Times, wrote an insightful article in the Times dubbing Harry the "One-Man University of Latin Music." Today, Record Mart carries more than just music. With the ever changing landcape in the music industry, we can not just cell CD's or LP's. Make no mistake, our identity is still that of a Latin music store. We stock over forty thousand CD's and in the last year, with the resurgence of LP's have been steadily growing our Vinyl inventory. We offer a large selection of DVD's as well. Even though streaming is on the rise, we continue to offer great deals on movies and music videos. Electronics are an integral part of the new Record Mart since reopening in 2007. We carry a very large selection of headphones from brands like Skullcandy, Beats, Grado, JBL, Monster and many more. All of whom we buy direct and are authorized dealers of. We are an authorized GoPro dealer as well and carry their full line of cameras and accessories. Rounding out our inventory, we carry all your charging needs, phone cases and just about any mobile accessory that you could think of.

2 Bridges Music Arts sells new and used records, tapes and books while staging exhibitions and events from our post in a Chinatown mall. The space is meant to host overlapping tendencies in experimental music, art and knowledge production internationally.We are located in the New York Mart mall at 75 East Broadway, directly under the Manhattan Bridge. Access to the space is through the mall’s main entrance. Please use the stairs or elevator to reach our location at Suite #205 on the second floor.

Rhino Records in Claremont, California, was opened in 1976 by the Rhino label (the reigning champs of repackaging, reissuing and recycling hits & misses from yesteryear) which sold off its retail operations in 1981 (we have been independently owned & operated since, so no hankies please). We used to be located in a tiny shack selling punk & love beads next to a Bric-A-Brac Outlet and an "Aura Cleansing" parlor. In 1990, we moved into a 6000 square foot box located on the corners of Yale & Bonita and have gathered no moss since.We are a record store like they used to be in the good ole days; a plethora of obscure (from our weighty progressive rock & electronic sections) carved next to our rock, classical, and whathaveyou. Thousands of new & used LP's are located next to the Rhino stage which has been graced by Yo La Tengo, Eagles of Death Metal, Kimya Dawson, Jimmy Eat World, The Mountain Goats & a wealth of others. We also carry a large selection of out of this world toys, stickers & other off the beaten path chotchkes.Claremont is a good 40 minute drive east of Los Angeles and our store is located in the "Claremont Village." Located a stones throw away from the 5 prominent Claremont Colleges, the village is an amalgamation of the clashing local colors, from a coffee house down the street where Jewel & Beck used to play, to the folk music center (owned by Ben Harper), where musical instruments & field recordings are sold.Tune into 88.7 KSPC on your drive into town and hear the latest in the world of underground sounds on your way to the local skatepark! Music Direct is a music warehouse that maintains a browsing area for thousands of used and collectible records in every genre, including recent pressings, but also sells new audiophile pressings online that are available for immediate pickup. Our main business is audiophile equipment and accessories. We serve as the Midwest headquarters and distributor for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab. There is no identifying sign on the front of this large two-story red brick building.

Folk Arts Rare Records is a San Diego music institution and one of the oldest record stores in California. The business was started by Lou Curtiss, a festival organizer, cultural preserver, and local luminary. Lou brought innumerable legendary musicians to perform in the San Diego area, to the delight of music aficionados. These included Tommy Jarrell, Lydia Mendoza, Bukka White, Dennis McGee, Rose Maddox, Bill Monroe, and hundreds of others. Music icons like Tom Waits, Sam Chatmon, and the underrated local bluesman Thomas Shaw performed in the store.New owner, Brendan Boyle, plans to work tirelessly to keep this iconic record store alive.

New prices are similar to what you would find online. If the record you are looking for is not in stock, the owner will order it for you. There is also a decent selection of "bargain bin" records that start at 25 cents. The selection is mainly focused on rock and roll, but you can find something from almost any genre. If you are looking for classic rock and roll albums, this is the place to go. Highly recommended. The store also carries CD's and videos but the real focus here is on vinyl.
